Tree: Expand selected folder, but not subfolders
When tons of files accumulate on my desktop, I sometimes start creating folders like 2018-09-12 and 2018-09-13, and when ready I go through each of them and rename the folders to "2018-09-12 - solar", "2018-09-13 - solar, weather". I'd like, in the Tree view, to be able to right ...

Thumbnails of 16:9 images get squeezed vertically and bars.
I noticed that images of a camera where I have set the aspect ratio of the images to 16:9 get buggy thumbnails. It appears as if XYplorer first adds black bars on the top and the bottom of the image to make it a 4:3 aspect ratio, and then squeezes the resulting image into a 16:9 thumbnail. The origi...

Re: XY + WinMerge
Just for the record, to compare two selected files in the active pane, here is a one-liner: ::run """C:\Programme\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe"" /e /r ""<get SelectedItemsPathNames """""" """""">""&quo...

Re: The directory is corrupted and unreadable
Ok, it's clearly not XYPlorer's fault. chkdsk found broken indices and was also able to fix them, even recovering "lost" data.

The directory is corrupted and unreadable
Hi, I don't know if it's just my HDD getting bad, but this is the issue: I've started using the wipe functionality of XYPlorer about one week ago, and have deleted a couple of files with it (wiping beyond recovery). Today I started noticing that at least three folders (two of the android sdk, one of...

Re: Ctrl-F should set the Find "Location" to current dir
Oh, great, this is even better than the Ctrl-F suggestion. Thanks!
Edit: Wow, this is even more impressive when used with "Selected Locations". Perfect!

Ctrl-F should set the Find "Location" to current dir
Is there a way to easily set the "Location" in the "Name & Location" tab to the current folder? Usually when I use the search functionality I don't quite know in which folder the file(s) reside, so I try various folders sequentially (ie first I start with "2011\11 - nov&...

Re: Drag and drop Tabs
Thanks, that counts as a solution. In Windows Explorer, when you click on the icon in the address bar, you can drag and drop a shortcut to another folder. I use this quite a lot, mostly to quickly create shortcuts to temporarily important folders on the desktop. I've tried this with XYplorer a coupl...

Re: Drag and drop Tabs
I don't think that this counts as a solution. I usually have the tree hidden because my catalogs are fairly large, so I have a command to toggle between catalog and tree, but both of them are never open at the same time. In that respect, I'd also like to suggest the addition of the ability to have t...

Drag and drop Tabs
I'd like to be able to drag and drop tabs into catalogs or into the tree. Dnd'ing onto category titles or between category items could add a shortcut to the tab without needing to back out of the folder and then dragging the folder into the container, and dnd'ing onto a category item or onto a tree ...

Re: Improvements to Tabsets
EDIT: Issue solved, I totally missed the delete 0, 0, $start; //deletes the dummy tabset with no prompts and no recycle bin idea. Leaving this post for reference, code is fixed. I totally love this app. ---- I'm running into issues here: I need tabset savecopyas to optionally force overwriting an ex...

Re: Improvements to Tabsets
"Open As" allows me to replace the current one with one which I have to name differently, right? I'd rather have a "reload" menu entry. I'll check out that beta discussion thread. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edit: Ok, I see that these issues have been discussed in length and will be ad...

Improvements to Tabsets
There are two things which would make tabsets a lot more usable to me. 1) Decouple auto-saving tabsets from the main applications "Save settings on exit" setting. Reason: I have "Save settings on exit" turned on, because I often make some minor tweaks which I always expect to get...

Re: remote control of xyplorer via tcp
Does it look okay? I'm not sure what to expect. I get a popup with Command: /script="::load 'show.xys", showCatalog; catalogload 'locations.dat', 'sp';" (Unicode: False) If I remove the /flg=2 flag, then the popup contains the same content. If I change/flg=2 to /flag=2, the popup cha...
