Crash when previewing

Last night, I by mistake ended up previewing a .mbs file sized 90mb and it loaded slowly and finally xy crashed (.mbs is opera's email format and supposed to be previewed as a text file). but the question now is if i can abort my previewing if i mistakenly start to preview the wrong file. I know its my problem, but i dont want to be punished if i preview wrong files.

I limited the previewable bit of ASCII files to the first 10 MB. Let's see whether it works. Other strategies are possible as well...
