Bookmark Toolbar Buttons Captions

Post by TedL1972 »

I just updated XYPlorer and the view of the Captions for the toolbar has changed.

I have a second tool bar where I put all my files shortcuts and in the earlier version the caption would show up automatically on the right side of the folder or document icon. In the new version every folder doesn't have a caption. I can of course use Show Button Captions however I prefer the top toolbar with all the XYPlorer icons without caption so that I can have as many as possible showing while on the second toolbar I prefer to have captions on every folder and document so that I can see at a glance which is which.

Can you please advice if there is an option to do this?

If not, any workaround short of using the earlier version of XYPlorer?

Thanks.

Yeah the new versions default to no caption displayed, you can still right click the button and "Rename Bookmark..." from context menu though, I'd suggest right click the button first and select "Go To" then copy the filename Ctrl+Shift+P for subsequent pasting in the rename dialog.

OK, that works.

I preferred the automatic naming of the bookmark though.

If no other option to revert to an automatic name of the directory or document then I will use this system.

Thanks.

I wasn't aware of that. It's a bug. Fix comes tomorrow.

You did not test the beta?

Yes I did test it and it works just fine on the bookmarks. It is back the way it was and the drag and drop automatically
show the name of the folder or file.

Thanks again!
