Hello,
years ago I installed XYplorer free. Shortly later I updated to XYplorer. Everything worked as expected.
Now I updated from 27.x to XYplorer 28.20.0300 64 bit. After first start, 28.20.0300 64 bit asked me if I wanted to keep my configuration. I said yes. But 28.20.0300 64 bit did not see that my configuration was still in C:\Users\..\AppData\Roaming\XYplorerfree. So it did not copy the files (I did that manually after I found the cause).
Thank you for your attention
Andrea

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Re: Settings lost when updating to 64 bit under certyin circumstances
This dialog (which clearly does not claim to copy data from XYplorerFree) only appears if
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer exists. So there is no bug, the problem is rather your C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer folder and what's in it.You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Settings lost when updating to 64 bit under certyin circumstances
So the cause began when I switched from XYplorer free to the paid version. The paid version probably created ...\Roaming\XYplorer but still used ..\Roaming\XYplorerFree. The INI file in ..\Roaming\XYplorerFree was updated yesterday, altough I did not use XYplorer free for years.
Thank you
Andrea
