non-modal dialogs

Hello,

this is not a direct feature request, rather a somewhat idealistic one (utopian).

There are a few configuration dialogs where it would be helpful to be able to copy a name directly from the existing window — for example in the toolbar (CTB) configuration or similar settings.
Additionally, would it be possible to keep the main window usable while such configuration dialogs are open (similar to the behavior in Everything)?
But XY is so fast and agile... that would be a real joy.
When closing the dialogue box, you could be asked whether you want to apply the settings.

I’m not sure whether this request has already been mentioned before.
I also have no idea how much effort this would require, so please excuse me if I’m asking for too much.

Better forget it. Modality is deeply rooted in the current architecture of XY. And I'd even say it's one of the fundaments of Windows itself.
