Long Latency when accessing local network

Please advise. What specific configuration changes need to be made so access to the local network is faster. Right now it take 30-40 seconds. I have tried this program several years ago and had the same issue, then out of frustration, uninstalled it. Really like the file manager but not sure how to get this resolved. Much appreciated.

I assume you're trying to each other PCs on the network. If so...
Configuration > General > Safety Belts, Network > Network > Cache network servers
