Search & Replace Strings - make mousewheel scroll history

Post by Malarki »

I'm making a lot of use of #123 "Search & Replace Strings" and wish that it would let me mouse-wheel scroll through its drop-down history. It would be nice to have that on all long History dropdowns (I haven't tested others to see).

If you mean scrolling through the history without expanding the dropdown list: cool idea, next beta!

Great; though in fact I was thinking of the expanded (dropped-down) state. The drag bar works to scroll through previous entries, but on my system the mouse wheel doesn't. It occurs to me now that this could be a mouse / driver issue here but this is the only place that I recall seeing such behavior

No, I see it too in Win 10 and 11. It's a bug they'll never fix. But all is not lost: The wheel works on the drop-down list if you place the mouse over the edit box.

Thank you! In all these years and thousands of uses of this command I had never discovered that.

Just noticed that the new mouse wheel thing has recently suffered a regression. Fix planned for tomorrow.
