Am aware this is probably me and not a bug but just where the setting is found has eluded efforts to hunt it down.

Making Autosize sticky in List view
Since first starting with xy today had to switch to List view from Details (for reasons that aren't pertinent) for a lot of file work. Cannot find a way to lock autosize columns. Despite List|List Style|Autosize Columns being checked the mark keeps going away - but stays locked for all the other parameters in the group.
Am aware this is probably me and not a bug but just where the setting is found has eluded efforts to hunt it down.

Re: Making Autosize sticky in List view
There's no reason for this option to be turned off on its own, and it should work on other Views than Details (e.g. List).
I assume it goes away when you change location ; Could it be possible that you have a (Default) Folder View defined that always restore a List Style that doesn't have option "Autosize Columns" enabled ?

You diagnostic prowess is very good. A long time was spent trying to find "the error" in Configuration. There is probably no new feature - like FVS - where somebody doesn't manage to shoot themselves in the foot (feet).XYwiki Master wrote:Could it be possible that you have a (Default) Folder View defined that always restore a List Style that doesn't have option "Autosize Columns" enabled ?
Thanks for your aid and advice!

I fear we will hear a lot of this "error" in future... will soon make it to the FAQ....XYwiki Master wrote:Could it be possible that you have a (Default) Folder View defined that always restore a List Style that doesn't have option "Autosize Columns" enabled ?
