Does Caret Browsing F7 have anything to do with XY?

Is Caret Browsing worth using anywhere?
I see lots of hype but no real examples in searches.

A feature in Web browsers that allows the user to move around a Web page and 
highlight selections with the keyboard rather than a mouse.
As XY is not a web browser I'd say No!
