Remember file selections?

Post by kinook »

Is there an option to remember previous file selections, the way it remembers previous folder selections?

You mean between sessions? No, only the focused file of each tab is remembered, not any other selections.

No (although it would be nice if everything was remembered between sessions).

When navigating into multiple levels of folders, then navigating elsewhere, and navigating into the previous folders later, it reselects the last navigated folder at each level.

For instance, starting at c:\, double-clicking Documents and Settings in the list, then username, then Start Menu, etc., then navigating to C:\Program Files, when returning to Documents and Settings later, username is selected in the list, and entering that folder, Start Menu is remembered and selected. But this recall does not extend to a file that was previously selected within a folder.

Correct.

But file selections are remembered in tabs. So you should browse on in a new tab, and then switch back to the old tab and your selections are preserved.
