Hello,
This is a simple question that I hope I haven't overlooked. I would like to selectively show NO image thumbnail for folders even if they have an image in them, even if they have a folder.jpg|png file. In other words, there is occasionally a folder for which I wish to only see the folder icon as the thumbnail, and not a thumbnail of an image within. Is there a way to do this selectively, and not as a setting that affects many folders?

Re: Show NO folder image thumbnail, selectively
You can place a valid desktop.ini file in such a folder that defines a folder thumbnail but uses a dead link.

Re: Show NO folder image thumbnail, selectively
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried various means to achieve this and nothing worked, to the point where it's quicker to just use another means altogether. In fact, I just created a new TEXT file and renamed it folder.jpg and that solved the problem. Simplest solution... easy, works. It could be some random previous settings somewhere in this Windows monstrosity that's keeping me from other solutions -- too much to fumble through. I hope this helps the next person.
