The Preview Pane (Ctrl + F11) which I use as a Button on my Toolbar, only shows half of its full length for pdf files but is fine for all other file types that I have tried so far.

Any ideas?

Get a better pdf preview handler? No problems here with Sumatra...

Foxit-Reader
MS PowerToys PDF extension

Thanks. I was pretty sure the handler would be the answer given the discussion here in the past.

I am using Sumatra - and will do some experiments with others. Where do the magic words for the others come from?

I guess most users here have SumatraPDF or PDF-XChange installed
as this is are suggestions since a long time.
Actual version of both have no problems for me as preview handler in XY.
I have tested all from my list above.

Notwithstanding the issues mentioned below and now fixed with Preview and pdf viewtopic.php?t=26179, my issue is still there (Half Pane). I am using Sumatra as my pdf handler.

Do you have window spy software? I wonder which window the top gray part is.

So what version of SumatraPDF has the poster installed ?

Are you sure you have Sumatra preview setup, because your PDF icon is the Adobe icon, so unless you setup UDPH you could be using Adobes. Run this in the address bar while the preview is showing a pdf:

e <get previewhandler>;

During Sumatra x64 install you have to manually select to install the preview component, did you do that? If the above cmd doesn't return Sumatra, then reinstall and be sure to select the preview component during install, it's under the Options button.

Yeah you have setup UDPH. I have never had issue with Sumatra myself, possibly to do with 225% screen scaling, not sure if it will help but you could go into the Properties of the XY64.exe and try fiddling with the HiDPI settings on the Compatibility tab, or if you are using them on the XYplorer.exe try adjusting them, or making them match between exe's.
