Virtual honoring FVS for a specific folder

Post by klownboy »

Don, should virtual folders like vi:<get pick *.gif "G:\downloads"> honor that folder's FVS (i.e., if that downloads folder has a FVS for large thumbnails shouldn't the virtual be in large thumbnails). If not, could it? You mentioned in the Beta notes that virtual folders will use the folder's existing thumbnail cache(s) without creating new ones, which is great, but I don't see the view automatically changing to the saved FVS. I don't believe I should have to save a FVS just for the virtual folder.

Edit: Even when the current folder is the same as the folder specified for the virtual folder, the display isn't in the saved FVS.

Maybe. It would complicate things on my end, and it would reduce the snappiness a bit. For now I will leave it as it is. Let the dust settle first. It's a revolutionary feature with lots of potential.
