I recently updated from an older version (I think 23.60?) since it's been a while since I have used this computer. I noticed some topics about the menu bar (windows) staying white (light) while in dark mode. Funny enough in the older version I could swear my menu bar actually darkened with the rest.
Most of the threads went back to 2019 which has been a little while now so I was wondering if this is a bug, or perhaps a setting I need to change that I couldn't change in 23.60? I love the program by the way and have really enjoyed using it. You can just hide the menu bar, so I suppose it's not a big deal. I just think it's funny that the older version seemed to actually do what it's supposed to so far as dark mode goes. It's probably not an XY issue, but rather a *windows* issue. Still, I figured I would ask.
Thank you!

Re: That pesky menu bar
I don't have a screenshot of the menu bar being dark if that's what you mean. You know, I might be imagining it. lol Did you ever figure something out for it, or was it just too much of a pain in the butt the to deal with (I can understand) and decide it wasn't that big a deal and you can hide it anyways (which you can and I do so no biggie).?
Thanks for your reply by the way and again I really enjoy using this program and hope that it stays in development for a while.

You can have the dark menu, but it is the toolbar btn menu type, like this:

Ah I see now. You hide the original and remade dark/light menu bar that you can toggle between text and icons. That works great, thank you.

Re: That pesky menu bar
Just to be clear, they don't have to be exclusively menu items and buttons in separate toolbars, you can add buttons next to the menu items or vice versa, or pick and choose just the menu items you want, the toolbars are fully customizable.

Re: That pesky menu bar
The toolbar menu buttons are definitely the way to go for dark mode, however I only find a few of them regularly useful. If you want to keep your toolbar clutter-free, but still have quick access to all menu items, a custom toolbar button that acts like a drop-down menu works great, such as the
