Damn, it needs .NET Framework v2.0. I'm not interested in installing that. Yes, I've seen the alternative they offer, but I don't like that either. Thanks anyway!

Is this a good idea? (First let me say: I don't know much about it and may be completely wrong in what I'm saying...)

But isn't .NET Framework just a runtime for programs requiring it? As VB runtime is for others? And you install the latter without liking or disliking VB? (Or find it installed in an up to date system, as maybe "tomorrow" .NET, too.)
And to me it seems that more and more programs need .NET?

I had severe problems once with .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 -- so I'm kinda traumatized... :)

I had severe problems with win95 - but still use windows :roll:

Because you need it. But I don't need .NET 2.0 (yet). I prefer to travel light...
