I searched the whole forum for Expansion Icons and didn't see anyone else with my problem...
The PDF Manual says the default for folder expansion icons is to *Not* show them for a folder that has no sub-folders. When I open XYplorer, every folder shows an expansion icon - even if it has no sub solders. If I refresh the tree, then expansion icons for folders with no-subdirectories Immediately disappear. If I close and reopen Xyplorer the expansion icons for all folders return. Also, if I click on a folder expansion icon for a folder that has no sub-folders, then the expansion icon disappears.
It's not a problem for me to refresh the tree when I open XY because I have it open all the time, but the problem is that a refresh only remedies the expansion icons with folders in the root directory. All other lower level directories have the same problem until I refresh them, but that of course is not a workable solution.
I've tried all kinds of setting changes, but nothing fixes this.
I'm hoping someone might have a suggestion for me to try?
Thanks!!

Re: Problem with Folder Expansion Icons
Below is the setting you want enabled, but the default is enabled, so you either disabled it yourself, or maybe you are on a network, in which case you would need to also enable the setting directly under it in config dialog.
Configuration | General | Tree and List | Tree | [x] Check existence of subfolders in tree

Re: Problem with Folder Expansion Icons
Thank you, that fixed my issue - I must have deselected that after reading the tool tip that said deselecting that would speed up browsing the tree &considerably*, but I can't really tell a difference - yet, anyway.
Thanks again!
