I know, it is supposed to do so (as the doc says) - but from time to time it happens to me that I accidentally activate bv when viewing c: - and I am not able to press <Escv> once to interrupt it. It halts for a moment and then goes back into scanning folders and I have to kill it with TaskMgr.
Am I the only one seeing that? (Or maybe I'm the only one with such poor fine motor skills...)

Re: <Esc> should interrupt branch view...
Works fine here. Sometimes it's necessary to press ESC again (though I don't see that here now).
You can also untick this to avoid undesired branch views:
Configuration | Find and Filter | Find Files & Branch View | Branch View | Persist across folders

Ok, good call - I tweaked that and other settings and now it seems to be more obedient to <Esc>. Thanks!
