Breadcrumb bar with file tree option

Post by CompSystems »

Hello

VSC includes a path bar that displays not only the directory listing but also the files within each directory. This allows you to explore them without having to open the full tree view panel, making navigation very quick and faster.

This feature should be emulated in XYP.

FYI check Address Bar "6/4 key navigation" = imho it's much better and faster than clicking and scrolling.

In Help file, Address Bar topic has paragraphs about "keys navigation", and there are 6 and 4 keys variants. When you get used, it works very fast and lets navigate deep in seconds. PLus AB has MRU.

Keyboard shortcut navigation is interesting, but I also think it should display a tree view not only of folders, but also of subfolders and/or files. I've only seen this in integrated development environments (IDEs) or source code explorers, as shown in the updated image.
