There is a setting "Expand tree nodes by single click" in the F9 preferences.
Works.
But not when I access a specific folder via a shortcut like
Although XYplorer does not start twice when I use more shortcuts, the setting as mentioned above does not work either.

Via a script (that changes some settings in the Registry) written by someone else I found via this forum, I was able to set XYplorer as default file explorer, and not the regular windows file explorer.
I have created shortcuts that directs to specific folders, like:
"c:\documents"
(I the past the command was like this: explorer.exe c:\documents and place the short cut on the desktop.)
Now, if I click on the shortcut that I placed on the desktop it goes to documents folder, but this folder does not collapse to make subfolders visible.

I think you are talking about "Expand destination node in tree" (config/general).vdongen wrote:Via a script (that changes some settings in the Registry) written by someone else I found via this forum, I was able to set XYplorer as default file explorer, and not the regular windows file explorer.

"Expand dest. node in tree" doesn't work for ext.
If that setting was off, it indeed does not collapse.
But if the setting is on, it only collapse when I use the shortcut for the first time and XYplorer starts up. Once opened, another folder does not collapse when accessed by another shortcut.

You expand, not collapse.vdongen wrote:If that setting was off, it indeed does not collapse.

Yes, true, it does not expand then. I'll check that...
