XY's "File | Rename Special | Remove Diacritics" tool is just great when you need something like this. However, I sometimes want to simply find diacritics rather than, or before, removing them.
I realize that such a search can be scripted. It might be possible to use XY's "Ignore diacritics" search option both enabled and disabled, between two panes, and then sycselect on differences. But those approaches are complicated and all the necessary character code checking already exists within XY.
SO: I suggest adding the ability to find files with diacritics to one of the XY search functions. Maybe in the full search "Types" drop-down where we already have classes of "Document files" and "Web files" etc; add "Diacritic files".
Thx
[Edit - I see this should have gone in 'Wishes']

Re: Diacritics: Would like Search for these
Want to find files with diacritics in their names? That's a bit exotic and something that can and should be handled by a script.
