Diacritics: Out of Memory on massive removal

XY runs on my C: drive, an SSD with 110GB free
No memory trim or optimizer utils

I unfortunately have to remove diacritics / launder filenames in a large collection to have later sorts and compares work as I need them to. For this XY's "File | Rename Special | Remove Diacritics" tool is brilliant, but I did run into a limitation.

• I have 630K files in 53K folders, on an external USB mechanical drive. When I select all top folders and run "Remove Diacritics" XY eventually throws an Error 7 "Out of memory" in Proc RenameSpecial. IIRC in the process of dismissing that I got another Error 7 "Out of memory" in Proc aBu@40. See the attached pix.

• I tried smaller numbers of files eg 500K and 300K but got the same error.

• When I limited each attempt to 150K files XY was able to handle it OK.

I realize that any system can be overloaded so I'm reporting this not as a bug but more of an FYI.

Yes, there is currently* a limit of about 100MB string memory.
