Can anyone tell me why transparent parts of images have started showing as black? I have no idea when this started and it doesn't happen in a fresh instance of XY. Is there some setting I've changed, or something I've corrupted, that has caused this?

jupe I saw you replied but then the reply was deleted. I did see it before it was deleted and I wanted to say thank you. I don't know how my transparency got changed to black but that was the cause.

I'm now aware if there are maybe some bugs in most recent versions, but you can check Configuration > Preview - Thumbnails > Transparency (has 4 options). Maybe you'll need to re-create thumbnails after changing that setting.

Yes that's what jupe had said in his deleted comment. I got it sorted.

Re: Transparent parts of images are black
kiwichick described it in a way as the background was no not black, but suddenly changed to, so i presumed it can be result of some updating/bugs messing in. Better safe than sorry.
