Backwards (History List) is shared by all tabs - how turn of

I'm a reliatively new XYplorer user, and I am finding quite good, but I there is one thing I just can't get past. Backwards (History List) is shared by all tabs. This is really unintuitive and confusing to me. How do I make each tab have its own history list?

For example:
- In tab1, I change from c: to c:\temp
- In tab2 I change from d: to d:\data
- I switch back to tab1 and hit 'Back' and end up on d: ?!!
I would expect tab1 to go back to c:.
