I often do this: I move the tree control so a destination directory is visible. Then I click on a file in one of the panes to drag it there. And blast it if the tree control doesn't move to that directory, losing my place. If there is an option to prevent this, I can't find it. Or maybe there's a better way to drag-move files?
Thanks.
Is there a way to prevent the tree control from moving to a directory when you click on it?

I think you mean the tree scrolls out of view, if so you can make it not by
Tools | Customize Tree | Lock Tree
