As you can see, when you enlarge the text it becomes too big to fit in the area designated.
I'd like to be able to increase the area along with the text so everything remains readable.

You're intentionally breaking the layout with such a large font size, to set max IP size you only need Shift+F12, you could try changing your scaling if necessary.

I'm just looking for the same experience with other parts of xyplorer.
You can go as large as necessary with file and tab text but not the info panel.
There is alot of empty space that can be used to expand this area of text.
The info panels, in this picture, is with the Max IP size.

Anything above 11 or 11.5 point (depending on the actual font) will break the non-elastic parts of the layout, e.g. the info panel or the configuration dialog. If you want larger sizes, you should use the Windows text scaling. That way, the controls will be enlarged along with the characters.
