Open 2nd Pane on Bottom

When I click the Dual Pane (F10) button in the toolbar, the new pane opens as the top pane, and one's existing folder location is sent to the bottom pane. Is there a way to open the new pane as the bottom pane, keeping one's current location in the top pane?

Small issue, I suppose, but it bugs me. Thanks!
