Hello!
This is the best program i've ever used. It's fast and functional and it doesn't crash my system every 15 minutes, like explorer.exe!
Now to my problem:
I'm from Sweden and we use a different charset/encoding. This is a problem in the Find Files section. Would it be possible to put at setting for the encoding in the ini-file? I think ISO8859-1 is the one we use...
Another wish is a more powerful filerenamer. The one in WindowsCommander is verygood, but the rest of the system makes it a bit hard to use.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Encoding problem
Thank you! But, if Explorer crashes your system every 15 minutes you must have an interesting system...Jos wrote:This is the best program i've ever used. It's fast and functional and it doesn't crash my system every 15 minutes, like explorer.exe!
What exactly is the problem? Is it that you cannot enter certain Swedish characters into the "Named" field?Jos wrote:I'm from Sweden and we use a different charset/encoding. This is a problem in the Find Files section.
Well, powerful file renaming is a large field. There are a lot of tools around just to do this job. If you miss a specific rename trick very much please open a new topic for it and let's see if you find supporters for your wish (or if i like it, that's always enoughJos wrote:Another wish is a more powerful filerenamer.

Problem solved
The problem was, as you said, that I couldn't enter swedish chars into the Named field. However, the problem is now mysteriously gone.
About the filerenaming, i was thinking about regular expressions (pattern matching). I have not done this in c++, but there must be some opensource code out there.

Those are the mysteries i like!Jos wrote:... the problem is now mysteriously gone.
Yes, there's a lot of code out there but i won't open that box for now. I admit that renaming is not the first reason to use TrackerV3. I keep on working on the better reasons...Jos wrote:About the filerenaming, i was thinking about regular expressions (pattern matching). Thanks anyway,
