Fixed tabs

Hello,

I'm (very) new to XYplorer (downloaded it just several hours ago...) and have this question:
I'd like XYplorer to open say 6 tabs each of them displaying a certain folder (always the same six.)
If currently something else is diaplayed I need some shortcut to get back these 6 tabs.
I'm sure this is possible. I'd like to know how I accomplish it

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!

The basic behavior you're after is known as "Home location" so take a look at those sections of our great wiki, such as at http://88.191.26.34/XYwiki/index.php/Tabbed_Browsing

Well, you could have a script that would "Close All Other Unlocked Tabs", and then open six tabs to six predefined locations. But then any tab that was either locked or homed, as well as the default tab (if any), would not be closed, and so you could end up with more than just 6 tabs.

Are you saying that there is no way to run a script that will diplay a certain number of tabs to predifined locations (but only them)?

A script will allow you to do what you can do otherwise in XY. So, if you don't use homed/locked/default tabs, using "Close All Other Unlocked Tabs" you will get the six tabs you open with your scripts.

But, if you have such tabs, then they wouldn't be closed, no. Of course, you could just use "Close All Other Tabs" instead, if you don't mind closing tabs you have locked/homed/defaulted.
