another command in context menu: "Copy path to clipboar

Post by Leopoldus »

There is a command "Info to clipboard >> Filename with path" in context menu. But how is about the command for copying into the clipboard the path only, without filename itself? This command would simplify opening the original folder of the file in another application if the user needs it.

You have "Copy Path" in the context menu of every tree node.

Indeed I've meant copying the path of files in the search result list, for this case your answer is not just exact.
But I've already founed the correct answer myself: the command "Copy path" of context menu of file's original directori's name in the column "path".
Thank you!

But to do this you first have to get to the file's original directory. I see your problem now, but i don't understand your solution... I think i really should add that Copy Path command to the file's context menu as well.

Yes, you are write, it was not a solution for this problem, I only thougth it to be. So the new beta would be in time. But... I'm sorry, where is this beta? There is only old app from 2004 Januar at your download page...
By the way, this command "Copy path" in context menu of seach result now mesleades an user, because indeed this does NOT copy the path of the found file under cursor, but copies some other path (the last previous??)...
