Toolbar Buttons now bring up a label

When clicked on, my two recently created Toolbar buttons bring up a one-line label/menu. When that is clicked on the program is then launched.

All the other buttons directly launch the program as they always have.

Has something changed - am I missing something?

I am guessing you have just put the path to an executable in the On left click field, and you haven't compared that to your other buttons that you say work, if that is the case, leave that field empty and put the executable path in the name field instead.

Great guess jupe - that is it. For those two buttons I had just put the path to an executable in the left click box. For others I had used the 'run lax' formula.
