Connecting valid Tags to a corresponding record

I have a live test for a doctor on my tag database...
I have created a TAG of "MD".
I cannot find how I can attach the TAG to the doctors record..

I had it in the past, but have not used it for a while, and have clearly gone rusty..

Actually, if I had multiple Doctors in my files, I would put a tag on each one.

Hm. In XY you can attach tags to files and folders only. Not to doctors.

each doctor has his/her own file...
another category might be books. Then in my structure, each book will have it's own file.

I don't really see where's the problem. Are you showing the "Tags" column? You should. Then right-click the cell and edit the data of that cell. That's the tag(s).

Maybe it's a misunderstanding. A screenshot of your situation might help.

I think I have found an error in my work, but will not have time to work on it tomorrow.
