Love the XYPlorer, promote it often on my forum.
400,000 image database.
Coming from ACDSee I miss "File .Save as" option
and, if I name a file, it appears as a Google icon, it will not automatically save as a *.jpg image.
Are these available on XYPlorer?
I only employ XYPlorer as a File Manager for my images.

Re: Save as ....and auto image extension
OK, so say I have 30 images from a deskew program, named perhaps "File 625x"
If I name that one file "Cambodia 1964 River Craft" it ends up a google icon
I have to add ".jpg" after each name, XYP will not auto save as a JPG
Example

Hmm

Re: Save as ....and auto image extension
Doesn't seem to like an image insert
Image insert test

"Save extension" only seems to apply to each image individually, there is no Global extension offer?

Re: Save as ....and auto image extension
So you have a JPG file called "File 625x" and you want to rename it to "File 625x.jpg"?

Re: Save as ....and auto image extension
Aha! I see what is happening.
Remembering, I have used XYP for a few years with 1000's of images
With a normal image , simple, I click F2 and can rename any XYP image (the extension is not included in the rename option) Now, because I need to enlarge any image, to include the stamp's Identification attributes up close
I double click the XYP image, and it opens full screen BUT .....in ACDSee .... Yikes
That''s why XYP is not giving it an extension.
So what do I do, somehow I need to set a default XYP for all images ?
be gentle, I am an IT dinosaur.

For a larger preview of the selected file you can use the Preview Pane (Ctrl+F11).
If that's not large enough you can preview the selected file in the Floating Preview (F11).
