Get folders in left pane to automatically expand

I have noticed that when I click on a folder in the left pane, that any nested folders do not become automatically visible. Is there a way to click on a folder in that left pane, and have any nested folders expand to become visible--while still showing the contents in the parent folder on the right pane?

The tree view should fully expand to show all available subfolders?
