Preview panel with optional button bar 【⇦】【►】【⇨】

In the "Preview Panel" a button bar would be very useful, with three options 1: Left 2: Play 3: Right
Of course, there is an option to hide or float the bar.this bar in the settings menu.

Left 【⇦】 to go to the previous image only
Play 【►】 auto-advance based on a custom delay value in milliseconds
Right 【⇨】 Advance only to the next image.

Most of the preview screens are not part of XY, so no way to have such buttons.
Use a dual pane layout and the quick view window and you have all ways to scroll.
