Hover over PDF and Mouse button down should remember position

Hovering over an PDF icon works fine and pressing the mouse button down enlarges the preview perfect.
Sometimes I change the position of this large preview by moving it to the right, so I can stiil see the file list.
Unfortunately this position is not saved in any way, so next time I have to do it again.
Can this position be saved by XY or is this a function of the preview module, SumatraPDF in my case ?

By the way, does something control that panning movement, left drag moves the pic to the right, right drag moves pic left (i.e., is that changeable to left to left, right to right)?

Just getting around to testing this new feature, and I have to say that I don't like it, are there any plans to make this optional? Just as feedback, I find it is easy to end up with the MDBU half off screen now, I also prefer the old initial positioning better when is was cursor center based, especially so for text files.

Yes, it will be optional. I just forced it on you all to get some feedback. Which just happened.

I just noticed (as you apparently did too) that with the "Shrink to Fit" option enabled, the position crawls to a new spot on its own without actively dragging the mouse. That may need to be addressed later.

@Horst: Maybe "Remember position" should only be enabled if "Shrink to Fit" is off?

I've always had "shrink to fit" on, and to be honest with more use, I'm starting to agree with jupe, that it's a little irritating especially if you're MDBU viewing many different sized images. Images are popping up in "unexpected" places.

I have noticed a recent change in behavior that seems like a regression, now if you MDBU on a text/pdf/etc... file (that is full screen height) and your cursor is near the bottom of the screen, it loads the MDBU with the bottom half of it off screen, previously it would be all on screen, now it just seems to use cursor center as the middle of the MDBU vertically always, instead of only doing that when it would be within the viewport. Horizontally it seems ok still though, and images/videos seem unaffected. The issue is present with/without the new remember pos setting enabled.

1) Could you post a screenshot of your MDBU settings. There are too many possible factors here.

2) Also need to know which list view is active (Details, Thumbnails...).

3) And which mouse button is used.

Can't give screenshot until tomorrow, but from fresh only 2 settings would need changing, just enable left mouse btn down, and on icons too, then using details view on an item near the bottom of screen.
