Ok, I also find the grid a bit hard on the eyes. The next BETA version will give you alternate row colors instead of grid lines. See if you like it better. I do.

Yep, I like the alternate colors, but apparently you forgot about the effects of full row select again. Selecting an even row results in only the name of the file changing to focus color and the rest remains in grid color with all the text inverted - I'd say that's a bit hard on the eyes as well...
