Greek

Post by tag.mania »

Hi Don,
I'm gonna start the translation of XYplorer in Greek language very soon. I can't live anymore without file tags.

Γεια σας. Θα ξεκινήσω την μετάφραση του XYplorer πολύ σύντομα στα Ελληνικά. Αυτό το software έχει το καλύτερο file tagging ever !!

Finally, I managed to translate XYplorer to Greek..
I did try to check it thoroughly, but given that a) I mainly use the English version, and b) I don't understand some of the obscure features that the app includes (and it was a great opportunity to discover a couple of them), I might missed a few things here and there.
I would appreciate any feedback about them or any suggestion/improvement..

Here is the 64bit v8.405
Greek_8.405.zip
and the 32bit v8.198
Greek_8.198.zip

@Don
I have a wish that I will post here since it concerns only translators (and non Latin translators at that), so it's a niche wish..
Since the ITT can't add accelerators to non-Latin characters and I can't add them with a script since I don't know which items form an “accelerator group”, I was wondering if it would be possible to get these groups in a log or at the clipboard whenever we press "Assign missing accelerators" or "Re-assign All accelerators", since at the time ITT knows them.
That way, you wouldn't need to add another action to the Tools menu and I could try and create a Python script to assign them manually..

It can't? I tried Α&ποτυχία and it seems to make π an accelerator.

ITT can do it if you insert them manually.
The problem is with the "Assign missing accelerators" (or "All") Tool action that doesn't..
From the 7235 entries, it adds accelerators for only 70.
And these are assigned only to the Latin characters that are left in the translations..

Since Greek letters are 24 but latin are 26, there are 2 missing.
I can add the "ς" which is the "σ" when it is at the end of a word, but it is still missing one.
αβςδεφγηιξκλμνοπθρστ ψωχυζ
Should I add one two times?

I had made a mistake.
This is the right one:
αβςδεφγηιξκλμνοπθρστ ψωχυζ

Well, that was a stupid idea of mine. It would only work if translation = transliteration, which it is not of course.

So forget it, there is no way to automate this since there is no information about accelerator groups anywhere in the data.
