I'm wanting to search for file content inside of a .pdf or word document.
For example, I want to know which files contain the word berberine.
I've searched a folder (containing .pdf and word documents) under the tab "contents" to see if xyplorer could use
the word berberine to find a document containing this word.
All my attempts have been unsuccessful... can anyone help?
thanks,
Riggie

Re: Searching for file content...
Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Unfortunately, XY search is only for any strings which you can see visible in Raw View tab and both those file types are (in a way) compressed/encrypted so text isn't normal ASCII and thus can't be found. It's been a topic here before.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
