Any way to change the background color of a tab?

You can't change the colors of the individual tabs but if you go to Configuration -> Tabs -> Visual style and set that to XYplorer Classic. Then go back to Configuration -> Colors and under the tab headers, you can change background colors for the Selected tab and the colors for the background tabs.

You can make in image editor square color icons, or find it on web, and Rename Tab like this: |Icon_Path

background color of the active tab (active plane) always white. Can we change it ? because it close to gray color and hard to notice by nature.

And I would like to dim selected list (blue) of the unactive plane too.

Yes, in Configuration | Colors | List | Background and Configuration | Colors | Other | Inactive pane.
