Drag-F7-Drop

Post by surrender »

A crazy little wish:

Pick few items with select and drag and hit F7 to swap to another tab and drop the items there. Is tha possible??

I ask this because I have been arguing with other forum members that XYs way is better than dual-panes because in dual-pane one has to shift focus to left and right constantly to compare something (you cannot look at two places at one time), while in XY you can hit F7 and keep focusing at one place to compare. While drag & drop to tabs is a nice thing, drag-F7-drop sounds not so bad. . What say??

Not possible, keyboard is (mostly) blocked during d'n'd in Windows generally. And I guess it makes sense.

But you still can Copy-F7-Paste. Isn't that even better? No mouse, no moves...

Yeah i do that now.

PS: I sometimes think one should make cut, copy, paste shortcuts more easier (one key press). but unfortunately ctrl+x etc are standard shortcuts.
