Saving multiple tabsets

Post by BrooksNYC »

If this question has been answered elsewhere on the forum, please forgive me. I've searched using various search terms, but may not have phrased my question correctly.

I'm a new user, trying to save multiple configurations, each with its own tab settings. To that end, I've tried "Save Configuration As" and "Save Copy of Configuration as" (saving under different names, of course).

I can't get the tab settings to stick. No matter which configuration I load, the tabsets reflect only the most recently-saved configuration. If one of you seasoned pros can tell me where I've gone wrong, I'd be most grateful.

Below, a screen shot of my "Start Up and Exit" settings, in case they're relevant.

I feel very lucky to have discovered XYplorer three days before the expiration of the Lifetime Membership, and hope the software outlives me! Despite having only scratched the surface of its potential, I absolutely love this app. Thanks so much, and thank you for your help.

Hi and welcome,

each tabset is saved as a bunch of files within a subfolder of the "Panes" folder under the app data folder. Right-click the Tabsets toolbar button and select Go to Tabset folder to jump to the folder of the current tabset.

Then there is an MRU list of the recently used tabsets which you can save between sessions if you tick Tabsets under Configuration | Startup & Exit | Include most-recently-used lists on save.

This is just a short overview over the basics. Somebody who actually works with tabsets (I don't) should take over now and answer your question.

Hi and welcome from me to!

There are two scripts dealing with Tabsets I am using the second one, but maybe the first one could (better) suit your needs. I am not acquainted with the details of it, so I can not tell more.

I fear that your problem is specific, since you would like to save a combination of other settings and tabsets. I am not sure (in what extent, if any) is this possible with Session manager. It is not possible with MyTabset.
