PopUp Explorer

Post by serendipity »

Nothing major here, based on this post i saw sharing a simple popupmenu command based script.

PopUpExplorer
Simple way to browse around using popupmenu.
-You can keep going back and forth to any folder.
-When you click on a file script ends and file is opened.
-Clicking outside menu ends script
-Currently no way to open folder.
-When you go back from root folder eg. C:\ you get drives menu list
-Script works from within folder only. Loading from within zip file will not work since XY cannot read zip file contents.

Is it supposed to be populated with the folder items?

I only get computer goop.

Clicking any item also yields goop.

It seems to be always looking in my downloads folder (?)

It is supposed to show all folders and files from path you are on currently as popup menu. From there you click back on the menu to go back or any folder to go forward.
Strange this shows up weird for you, does this happen in all folders? Maybe i overlooked some characters that can affect this script's functioning.

Sorry, i am too busy to look into it right now.
Feel free to modify the way you want and use it for any other purpose.

Oh, you think he is loading the script from within a zip file? Is that possible?

You can know, too

Look at the top of his 2nd picture, it shows:

File: palmIcons-v1.0.zip @ C:\ThinkDocs\Downloads

Don't know what he does - but it is a .zip :!:

Oh, true. Thanks for spotting that.
I did not expect someone will try script from zip file.
I will update my first post.

Doh!

Sorry!
This is apparently what happens if you tell a script button to load a zip file instead of an .xys script!!!
:appl:
