In tab settings one can exclude certain folders from being searched (the tab "Excluded" on the search panel).
Is there any way to exclude some files by filename pattern from being searched/found too? Say, to prevent from being searched through or/and displayed in the result list all files with the extension .INI or with the word {123xyz} somewhere in the name.
Yes, you can exclude any files when composing a current search query. But I'd need to exclude certain files from searching forever as a permanent condition of certain tab. If you need to exclude files by many different criteria, it is quite inconvenient to set such limitation every time as a part of every search query, isn't it?
Thanks in advance!

Not possible. But maybe Visual Filters can bring you (near) there.

Re: option to exclude certain files from searh in the tab
Thank you, Donald. Yes, Visual Filter can be useful for this task, but it is far not the same. The essential difference is, that you can not set/apply a Visual Filter on the base of the certain tab, but it has an effect only generally.
But I have 7 permanent locked tabs and need to set different exclusion lists for each of them (just as it is possible with excluded folders lists).
Could you please consider adding this option? In order to implement such functionality you don't even need to add any additional interface elements, because there is already this tab [Excluded]. So all what we need is to extend it, that is to enable adding files to the exclusions list too.

Thank you!
Among many tens of software products I'v ever dealt with I really don't know any other software, starting from giant corporation as Microsoft or Adobe and ending with one-man teams as, say, Total Commander or HyperSnap, where way from a user's feature request to its implementing is so fast, as in XYplorer.
Good luck with you work!

It's a cool feature. Can be very valuable actually.
Does it work as expected?

However now I'd wish even more, than my first requestSay, support for Regular Expressions. May be even boolen logic in order to exclude from the list files, which names contains cats AND dogs BUT NOT crocodiles.
