Features requested
1. Archiver - It is best if xyplorer has its very own archiver, for rar, zip, and 7z.
2. Incremental name replacement
Example:
1 - file 1.txt
2 - file 36.txt
To:
16 - file 1.txt
17 - file 36.txt
2. Incremental name replacement
Example:
1 - file 1.txt

To:
16 - file 1.txt
17 - file 36.txt

Hi and welcome,PortableCreator wrote:1. Archiver - It is best if xyplorer has its very own archiver, for rar, zip, and 7z.
Native support for ZIP and RAR in included on XYplorer's roadmap, but not support for other archive formats at the moment.
I'm afraid your example isn't clear to me. Could you expand on that?PortableCreator wrote:2. Incremental name replacement

Regardless, you may want to look at the Batch Rename dialog which is shown when you select more than one file, in which the built-in help text talks about a syntax for increments.

Re: Features requested
that is fast, anyway
That is still going to come
In the incremental replace
For example, replacing the specific number with a new one, just like that

Re: Features requested
I'd take a look at the options in File > Rename Special; it offers Search and Replace, among (many) other options.PortableCreator wrote:In the incremental replace

Re: Features requested
Without using an script, this needs two steps as far as i see.PortableCreator wrote:2. Incremental name replacement
Example:
1 - file 1.txt
2 - file 36.txt
To:
16 - file 1.txt
17 - file 36.txt
For example, replacing the specific number with a new one, just like that
E.g.:
1.) Batch Rename - add counter, start at '16'
<#16> - *
From:
1 - file 1.txt
2 - file 36.txt
To:
16 - 1 - file 1.txt
17 - 2 - file 36.txt
2.) RegEx Rename - remove old numbers
(- \d+ ) >
From:
16 - 1 - file 1.txt
17 - 2 - file 36.txt
To:
16 - file 1.txt
17 - file 36.txt

Re: Features requested
well, not the way exactly as said
Like replacing the numbers 1 and 2 with 16 and 17, while not affecting the other numbers in the file..., and also clearing part of the name with the specific format, like with (ddd) for editing the part of the name with 3 numbers together like 357, 358...

Re: Features requested
How about, for the easiest and the most user-friendly, all renames, even special rename, are all added in the rename function, just showing all the specific templates for special renaming
Re: Features requested
Hi, was wondering when the true 64bit version will be ready? Any idea of a approx date of release? My 64bit anti-virus program will not run in the 32bit version I now have (v10.80). I have the lifetime registration and will update when the 64bit one comes out. Thanks......(BTW, love this program!

Not run? You mean it does not appear in the shell context menu of files. Read this, please: http://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=ctx64kpc007 wrote:My 64bit anti-virus program will not run in the 32bit version I now have (v10.80).

Re: Features requested
My anti-virus program provided by my internet service is specific to 64bit platforms. In order to run the 32bit version I must load the 32bit OS. Kinda stuck on 64bit OS now. For a workaround I use the windows explorer which has my anti-virus in it's shell. I test scan all files I d/l from the internet prior to opening them. I check them in the windows explorer first then open in Xyplorer. Kinda inconvienent but it's all I have at this time. Better safe than sorry.admin wrote:Welcome!

I can't say for sure but your AV scanner my be launched using Portable Open With XY feature on currently selected files?
NOT for 64 bit issues I'm doing that way with WinRAR and Sandboxie so far so good. A more experienced user may provide a script, then?

Been there done that with no luck. Looks like it's 64bit or nothing. These anti-virus programs are very particular to outside actions.neutrox wrote:I can't say for sure but your AV scanner my be launched using Portable Open With XY feature on currently selected files?

Re: Features requested
You mean you cannot even run the 64-bit EXE from XY (e.g. by dbl-clicking it)? Hard to believe.kpc007 wrote:Been there done that with no luck. Looks like it's 64bit or nothing. Sure I can but it doesn't work with the scanner. When I do that it wants to execute the program, not scan it. That's all I want to do..SCAN!
