Thoughts about dual pane and using keyboard

First off, I must admit, I'm an ex-TC user, who couldn't imagine a life without dual pane. After buying XY, my first user button was a scripted one, which turned off the tree, and switch the second pane on in order to ensure the similarity.

I have just realised, I hadn't used this button for a long time... I can draw the conclusion easily: if you use XY with all advantage it offers (mini tree, catalog, custom toolbar, colors in list and tree, favorites, hotlist, etc. and moderate scripting) simply you don't need dual pane any more. Other thing I realized, that I can control XY pretty well by mouse. In my ex file manager I used keyboard significantly more times. However, I could set keyboard shortcuts fully according to my taste in XY, I use only few ones.

Maybe my thoughts are helpful for users, who are thinking about changing, or have done it lately.
