I can't see a way to drag an item into the catalog. Seems like a natural thing to do.
Dragging an item onto a category heading should add it to the catalog under that category. Or even better, that little arrow that you get when changing the order of category items could appear, so you can choose where exactly to put the new item (or drag it onto a folder instead of between some items, to do a file/folder move).

Re: Drag into catalog
It's one of the last things open from my original catalog road map and in the making.Chris Wood wrote:I can't see a way to drag an item into the catalog. Seems like a natural thing to do.

Dropping on category heading will add the dragged item(s) to that category (appended at the bottom of it).
Conc. using the arrow icon to choose between "add as item" (arrow between 2 items) and "copy to item destination" (arrow on 1 item): too narrow margins I fear. 9 vertical pixels will decide between totally different operations... too dangerous.
