Adjusting which columns are visible

When adding or removing which columns are visible via the check marks is there a way to keep list open to make multiple adjustments? When using either View|Tag|Columns or by right click to Column Name it closes after each modification making more than one change a real nuisance.

If not maybe this could be transformed into a Wish.

I can't find a way to make more than one change in one go, either. I'd like that too, perhaps with an additional command in the context menu of the column headers leading to a dialog box?
