HI all,
I can't get XYplorer to show me the other 2 computers on my home network.
I am using v 10.20 on Windows 7. I recently upgraded to Win 7 from VIsta and now can only see my desktop computer on the network. It was sporadically showing the other computers before, but now just will not do so at all.
I can see and use the other computers over the network with 3 other file managers, so I guess I have something set wrong in XYplorer. Have gone through the configuration file repeatedly, but can't find a setting that will solve this issue. I tried renaming the ini and bak files and starting fresh, but it still won't show the network computers.
Would anyone have some ideas on how I might get this working?
Thanks for your ideas.

Re: can't see those network computers
Why, thank you, Highend. I did that and was able to see the computers. One of them says it's not available, but that is a different problem.
I exited Xyplorer, and restarted, and I had to do that browse for network server thing again. Is there no way to make that permanent?
And I would be happy to send a screenshot, but have no idea of what would have been helpful. A pic of something that's not there? Hmm... <g>

Re: can't see those network computers
Did you activate Cache Network Server in your Configuration - Startup & Exit?
It should help to remember every server you've connected to (e.g. by entering it's netbios name in the address bar).
My list looks like this (btw. clicking on Network (Netzwerk) doesn't show any servers but clicking on the plus sign in front of it shows all available servers, at least here) <- The network icon in the tree!:

Re: can't see those network computers
Hi Highend,
Yes, cache network servers was checked. I resaved the config file and restarted a couple of times, and now it is seeing the computers on the network. So all your help has worked perfectly!
Again I thank you so much. I sure wish I could figure out how these things get off track. Long ago, it worked, then it stopped working. Now I'm delighted that it's working again.
