User files and Libraries

Post by sabonim38 »

Is it possible to see User files and Libraries in XYplorer?

And with user files, I mean those I have customized, so they are not windows standard anymore - because those user files I can see in XYplorer are those located on the C: drive and I changed most of mine to D:

Ah, that answer my question as well. :)
Using windows 7 64 bit here so I assume this feature will turn up in the 64 bit release?

Why? They aren't related to x86 / x64 architectures of Win 7.

Just started using XYplorer and am loving it. I have, however, been quite reliant on Win7 Libraries in the past and it appears to me that there should be a way to functionally replicate those libraries within the structure of XYp even if the program doesn't currently support the native version of libraries.

Does anyone have any tips or hacks that they use to accomplish this?

I'm guessing the functionality you're after is to have a virtual root for several folders, which can be located anywhere?

If so, one thing you could try is enable XYplorer's Catalog (Window > Show Catalog) and add the individual folders you have in the Libraries, for quick access. As for seeing a consolidated, flattened view of the contents of more than one folder, XYplorer offers Branch View (View > Views > Branch View). The help file has more information about the Catalog and Branch VIew, both of which are very powerful.
