Feature Request: Switch tabs with mouse scroll wheel

Post by JustinF »

I don't know if it's inherent Firefox behavior or if it's an extension I have installed, but in Firefox if I put my mouse cursor in the tab bar I can "scroll" through the tabs using the mouse wheel...it's a nice feature. I think it would be useful if XY also supported this behavior.

Scroll forward = CTRL+TAB
Scroll backward = CTRL+SHIFT+TAB

Yes, this should be default for any application using tabs. Mousewheel/middle-button support has been very slow in applications...
test everything. hold on to the good.

Why not! Shift+Wheel looks like a way.... what do you think?

Sounds good to me!

What about drag-n-drop to reorder?

Yeah!! Go for it. But drag 'n' drop would also be a cool feature (especially for the ones with no wheels).

I see you implemented the drag-n-drop reordering of tabs. Very cool! You have been making some great strides this last week or two. Thanks for all your hard work.

What does this mean?

Code: Select all

v4.60.0027 - 12.05.06 21:18
    + Enough old-school drag-drop-and-see-what-happened-splitting! I
couldn't stand it no more and built in live splitting within 90
      minutes, yeah!

Excellent job. :D . It works as i expected and the XY icon poping up looks interesting but doesnt point exactly at the insertion-position for me. Nevertheless, great going for a cool file manager. Hats off.

 do you have any versoin before v4.60.0027 handy? Compare dragging splitters with v4.60.0027 -- see any difference?
